Although market conditions weren’t optimal, I decided I needed to sell my unique home of 40 years on 2 acres since I had relocated 120 miles away from it with two mountain passes to traverse to visit the property. Maintenance from that distance became too difficult and stressful so my goal was to sell before the upcoming winter. I had three neighbors express interest in the property so thought I might not need an agent; I had an appraiser with 28 years’ experience provide an assessment. The interested neighbors were no longer interested since that appraisal number was my asking price. Now I needed an agent and I selected Robert Ott from RainTown Realty who was referred to me by a respected professional acquaintance. I met with Robert Ott and Clint Rogers on site and I was impressed with their team approach. I explained my goals and they made recommendations to address small maintenance issues and stage the house and they assured me they would coordinate all the activities which was a relief given my travel distance. When Robert would say “that looks like something to deal with” it caught my attention since I knew he was speaking from the perception of a potential buyer who may be turned away by the issue. Since I decided that Robert and Clint were on my team I let them be the experts and let them take the reins. Amazingly within two weeks they had coordinated and completed all the activities including the septic/drainfield inspections! I was also amazed at the cost-effective results; the house and pictures looked incredible! At this point they listed the property and after three days the house was under contract for above the listing price! Clint and Robert’s communication during the entire process was constant and completely put me at ease. I recommend both Robert and Clint as agents 100% and encourage any seller to team up with these experts and follow their lead for a successful sales experience!
